Casandra Hernández Ríos

Casandra Hernández Ríos is an indigenous writer from Ciudad de México, raised in Los Angeles, Califonia. She received her MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction, from CSU Long Beach.

Her cuentos and poemas have appeared or are forthcoming in Azahares Literary Magazine, Litro Magazine, Voices de la Luna, Mystic Owl Magazine, The Hooghly Review, The Acentos Review, Verdad magazine, and the Santa Ana River Review, among other journals.

She now writes from Denver, Colorado, where she also teaches college writing and literature, and looks forward to long road trips with her dog during summer breaks.
