
Casandra Hernández Ríos
Casandra Hernández Ríos is an indigenous writer from Ciudad de México, raised in Los Angeles, Califonia. She received her MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction, from CSU Long Beach.
Her cuentos and poemas have appeared or are forthcoming in Azahares Literary Magazine, Litro Magazine, Voices de la Luna, Mystic Owl Magazine, The Hooghly Review, The Acentos Review, Verdad magazine, and the Santa Ana River Review, among other journals.
She writes from Southern California, where she also teaches college writing and literature, and also works in the legal profession. Her experiences across education and law continue to shape her commitment to language, advocacy, and storytelling. She looks forward to long road trips with her dog during summer breaks.
